The HAPPY Brain Study is a collaborative effort by researchers in Psychological and Brain Sciences, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Neonatology. The goal of the study is to identify factors that contribute to mental and physical health during pregnancy, the postpartum period, and among youth. The study involves completing online questionnaires, phone interviews, and an optional non-invasive brain scan in the laboratory. This study is further strengthened by unique resources in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Iowa including the Intergenerational Health Knowledgebase and the Perinatal Family Tissue Bank (PFTB).
